A Tale of Italian Elegance: The Portofino Collection by Evaro Italia

Milan’s Palazzo Serbelloni shimmered with anticipation as guests gathered beneath its frescoed ceilings for Evaro Italia’s debut at Milan Fashion Week. The Florentine fashion house, founded by Eva Rorandelli, unveiled its Portofino Collection, a modern tribute to Italian craftsmanship and the relaxed elegance of the Italian Riviera.

As the first model stepped onto the marble runway, the collection came to life. Luxurious leathers, lace, and silk pieces caught the light of crystal chandeliers. “I wanted to capture the colors and the light that reflect on the water in Portofino,” said Rorandelli. “There’s a very special beauty in Italy’s small coastal towns—the history, the culture, and the way people live. It’s a kaleidoscope of emotion and reflection. That’s what this collection is about.”

The palette of sun-washed ivory, sea blue, coral, and gold echoed the natural tones of the Mediterranean’s distinctive architecture and coastal glamour. Tailoring remained central, with structured silhouettes softened by fluid draping. “Too much fashion today is rooted in spectacle,” Rorandelli reflected. “For me, true fashion is about touch, about craftsmanship, about the human hand behind every detail. That’s the heritage that continues to make ‘Made in Italy’ a recognized symbol of  excellence.”

Select pieces from Evaro Alta Moda, the brand’s couture line handcrafted in Florence, added a note of opulence to the haute prêt-à-porter presentation. Balancing classic shapes with luxurious fabrics, including soft Florentine lace and luminous silk jacquard, the collection felt both timeless and effortlessly modern.

By the finale, as sweeping metallic brocades glided across the marble floor, it was clear that Evaro Italia had arrived as one of Milan’s most compelling new voices. “Luxury isn’t about being seen,” Rorandelli said. “It’s about being remembered, and the Evaro woman wears that philosophy effortlessly.”
